A concise, clinically informed introduction to OCD for young people and adults.
OCD Klinikken provides the brochure free of charge, and it is already used by clinicians and institutions across Denmark. It is intended for young people and adults with OCD, family members, professionals and organisations looking for an accessible introduction to OCD, its symptoms and treatment options. The brochure itself is currently available only in Danish.
OCD is a mental health disorder in which obsessions and compulsions can have a significant impact on everyday life. The brochure briefly explains what OCD is, how it may present and why specialised treatment can be important.
It is designed for quick reading and can be used as an initial introduction, alongside a conversation or as a handout.
The brochure is intended for young people and adults with OCD, family members and professionals who need a brief introduction to the condition.
It may also be useful to psychologists, doctors, local authority services, supported housing services, schools, other educational settings and organisations.
The brochure was created by authorised clinical psychologist Jesper Krogholt in collaboration with psychology master’s students Lærke Yssing and Jesper Fredslund Pedersen.
